Saint Francis Carvings

St. Francis is the Official Saint of the City of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The City's original name is "La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís," which translates as "the Royal Town of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisi." St. Francis is also the Patron Saint of animals and he is often portrayed with feathered friends perched on his hands and arms.
