Nativity Woodcarvings

For centuries Christmas Nativities have been a celebrated expression of the Christian faith and a favorite subject for Santeros to carve. Pete Ortega's award-winning nativities feature numerous hand-carved figures including Mary, Joseph, the Christ Child, shepherds, angels, and animals. Each nativity is set into wood gathered from the New Mexican wilderness. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind.
